I've got both chaps & leather pants for when it gets cold. The chaps are just easier to deal with. Neither are gay, just warm. Get over it.

I thought chaps were invented by cowboys who don't have to worry much about road rash but they do need protection from trees and brush as they ride through tight places because the horse don't care if the riders leg fits through or not. Now there are a lot of similarities between hoss ridin' and hog ridin' but scraping trees isn't one of them. So you can tell I favor over pants. I would wear them more often for the protection if I didn't feel like the Michelin man with them on...

It's a little disturbing that some guys on here have spent so much time looking at men's asses that they've become authorities on gay clothing...

I wear both as well, though usually not at the same time . I think you misunderstood what I was saying, I was saying I thought people saying they were gay is silly and makes me think they may have issues themselves.

Because the ladies like the looks of a man in chaps.

LOL!! Really it's quite amusing, yeah Jesse James wore em, John Wayne wore em,,, bet no one called them gay and was still standing,,,, hell anyone with any common sense knows when to wear something other than jeans alone if you've ridden bikes long enough in different weather situations, I like chaps because of convenience and storage as said, I wear them in rain or cold and a combination of both sometimes.

Trouble with leather pants is that you've got to find a private place to take them off and change to jeans. Chaps can go on or come off anywhere without exposing yer fat azz to the world. I have some Harley Road Warrior overpants made from waterproof woven polyester that I use when it really gets wet, cold and nasty. Otherwise, chaps are just more convenient and easy to pack.
