Default Enclosed trailer info

I have a friend that has a Timberwolf 7X14 enclosed trailer, Black smooth side ( no rivets showing), tandum alloy wheels, stainless stone guard all the way around ,ramp door, all LED lights and it is a low hauler that will fit in a garage. It is a either a 2003 or a 2005 not sure. He wants 3 grand. I looks like new , just replaced all the tire last year. I have been doing a search on the net to see what it might be worth but can't seem to find anything. Can anybody help me out I can't seem to find anything on the net about Timberwolf trailers or tell me if it would be worth what he wants. I have used it a couple times and it doe's not seem to affect the mileage that much being low .
Thanks for any info Dave C

Do a search on Craigs list we have been looking for an enclosed trailer and have found out that ones that are 2-3 years old are going for $3000. So he may be in the ball park. if it is in good condition. There seems to be a few on the market.

If it has a ramp door, price probably is in the ballpark but nothing special. Check ebay for price comparison. Here are the ebay listing for "enclosed trailer 14".

That sound like a good price to me and you know its in good shape. Just don't get like some of the guys trailering everywhere, you need that breeze in your face. I sure is nice to travel on a rainy day with your bike inside all clean you get to your destination its all dry outside and pull that nice shiney bike out while everyone else is cleaning theirs up.

Two months ago I sold a 2008 Custom made Cargo/Mate eliminator Jr. 7X14. Ramp door, extended height 1 foot so I could walk in it. Stone guard all around. All four raised corners were re-enforced. Additional chrome struts above rear door panels. .80 mm skin all around electric brakes. 2 condor wheel chocks. Additional D rings and floors mounts. Diamond plate inside of ramp door. Side door had recessed locking handle as well as semi trailer type swing door lock bar. With new tires and new spare only 40 actual miles on it. Paid $6500.00 including Indiana sales tax. Sold it for $5500.00. It was a peach and I wished I didn't have to sell it but I did. Cargo/Mate is made by Forest River the RV manufacture.

Yours sounds like a fair price it depends on a lot of things. Start with the thickness of the skin and how the inside is finished. Then move out side. Go inside and shut the door if you see daylight that is not good. Daylight also means rain can penetrate. I looked for many months then decided to have one custom made. Only wish I didn't have to sell it but I did. Good Luck

In the market myself... Sounds like a solid deal if in good shape.

I've been looking real close at the underside coatings and how many cross members the tongue is joined to.

For example I've owned 2 Carson open utilitiy trailers. Good trailer for the money, but they don't undercoat worth sheet. Was just told by a guy on our local lot that they don't have an inside paint booth, so CA requires them to use water based paints. On the other end of the spectrum Wells Cargo looks like the Ziebart coatings I grew up with in the Midwest.

Was just looking at Interstate FunRunner. Has the height and door width I need for desert toys without a custom order. 2010 7x12 tandem, 4 brake, dipped chassis, with ramp door, vents, radials, mounted spare about 4,000 is what I was quoted.
