If your concrete dont sweat when the humidity is high then bare concrete is fine, If it does sweat then some form of a moisture barrier should be put down.

Park it on cardboard, plywood or a tarp if you like but it isn't necessary, the concrete won't hurt anything.

There is a theory, which may or may not be BS, that leaving your jiffy stand in contact with concrete, for long amounts of time accelerates parts rusting on your bike. I put a piece of cardboard under my jiffy stand while it is parked in my garage. I don't know if it does any good, but it doesn't cost anything.

i had some pressed board shelves from a busted shelving unit, one of the cheapies. rolled the bike up on the shelves, and then put a hockey puck under the kickstand which was about the same thickness as the shelves were. i get a lot of water in the garage from melted snow. i don't want that salt laden water touching my bikes.

I've been parking bikes on concrete since back in the 60's, no problems...that's back when an old timer used to tell me all the time "It ain't rocket science, son...it's a Harley."

I park both of mine on plywood on a concrete floor. The concrete sweats sometimes here badly. The plywood is a cheap barrier. Something I was taught a long time ago and I haven't cared to test the theory out. I don't believe in changing what has worked for me just to change.

Mine survived the concrete garage just fine last season. This year I'm thinking of getting into the livingroom. Getting some flack from the wife for some reason.

Okay, I have to ask what it is about wet concrete that will do anything to any part of a bike. Sunlight causes dry rot on the tires. What does wet concrete do? Sure as hell won't hurt a tire. The only other part that touches the ground is the kick stand. Water doesn't cause rust, oxygen does. Help me out here, I'm confused.

Oh yeah, I park mine on a Persian rug in my garage, but that's just cause I love her.
