Several years ago, on a trip from Va Beach to Orlando, I saw a sign that read;
"Motorcycles Use Caution Grooves"

... and I though "What the hell is a Caution Groove?"

You get great grip with Fatbob tires on those grooves.

I can't imagine what it would be like to lay a bike down on a milled road surface, but I'm sure someone has.

I dont normally ride interstates but will at times when we wanna get somewhere quick. Last year on Vacation we were running north on I77 getting close to Canton (somewhere between Dover and Canton) at night about 70 MPH. Got on a milled surface that in my opinion was poorly done. Like mini S-curves all the way. Tensed up at first but then relaxed and let it flow and everything was good. Lasted about 10 or so miles but seemed like 100. Also I26 between Columbia and Charlston in SC has some pretty serious grooves in it that go for miles and miles but isnt a milled surface. I have noticed that even the cage wants to wander on those. I have had two different types and brands of tires and to me it dosent really make a differance. Just gotta go with it and do the best ya can. On Country roads where the speed limits are slower, the grooves dont bother me as much.

I just switch to Pirreli Night Dragons on the Street Glide very good results.

On the 09 RK with the 407 Dunlops no issues.

I am a believer in leathers and full finger gloves. Just like a file. Even wears off the rivets of your jeans.

Sent my jacket back to Langlitz and looks and feels like new.

I know what you mean....every time I see a "Slow Children Playing" I just think it's so sad, but kudos to the little buggers for trying so hard....

Thats what I do. They look awfully painful. But these grooved roads exist everywhere. Rode one yesterday, and to top it off, I went to pass someone on this 2 lane grooved azz road and ran into an oil slick where they were laying fresh asphault. I heard rocks hitting my fenders for 30 minutes
