I'll add a couple oz of Seafoam once in a while, but not every tank.

I also use the spray version for carbon cleaning. (Spray in TB while running, then let it soak).

SOOPER, that's what it is.

Been running it, for decades. My Dad used it, forever.

I watch for it to go on sale at Checkers, NAPA, whatever. Can save close to $2 a can.

I add it to the gas can, when I get gas for the lawn equip.

Get's run thru all the scoots, 'bout once a month, maybe more.

I use it in place of Sta-Bil, if storing.

IF you use it 'regularly' it will keep your fuel system free of varnishes, deposits, etc. Think of it as "Preventive Maintenance".

IF you have left your scoot sitting, and it runs rough, like you say, run 2 tanks of Seafoamed gas thru it, BEFORE you do any tweeking, dismantling, etc. You'd be AMAZED what it will do, to clean and restore your carbs/F.I. system.

As far as carb/fuel injector cleaners go. IMFUO, the only one that remotely works, GUNK Fuel Inj Cleaner. I've actually used it to soak carbs in.

The 'new' gasolines, NOT ETHANOL, do not store for chit. We've had ethanol since the early 80's here. It has only been the last 3 or 4 years, we have had a RASH of gas that will seperate and leave a green slime looking junk, in the bottom of the carb bowl.
That's an ADDITIONAL reason why I put Seafoam in the gas can, for the lawn equip.

Synthetic 2 cycle? Do you add that to the gas? I've never heard of that! I think I'll check out the Seafoam at Autozone and try that...but I'm curious about the 2 cycle.

Synthetic 2 cycle would provide more lubrication but won't do anything to clean out the fuel system. Around here is seems to be more expensive (oz for oz) than carb cleaner.
Seafoam isn't expensive and works. Also good to occasionally add to oil about 100 miles before oil change. Will clean out the engine.

Speaking of lubricity, has anyone ever got MMO on thier fingers while pouring it in thier tank? Fingers stay slick for a while, no matter how well you wipe them. LOL Interesting stuff.

MMO = Marvel Mystery Oil (for those that don't already know).
