Default guardian bell rules

my wife gave ma a guardian bell for my 03 ultra. she got the anniversary years mixed up and got the 105 instead of 100, but didnt care. put it on in the sprit of the gift and it has watched out for both of us.

just traded the 03 for a 2010 and i need to know if i am supposed to leave it with the bike or put it on my new one. just dont want to jinx us.

thx

If you haven't had any bad luck with it transfer it to the new bike.

The bell was given to you not the bike. It's yours. I would keep it.

I didn't even know that the 105 bell would even FIT the 100 Harley-Davidsons. This forum is sooooo good!

If your wife ever gets anniversary years mixed up then you automatically get a 10 year exemption on all future anniversary mixups. Get this in writing before she forgets!

I never rode with a bell on my bike till a few years ago. I have been riding over 30 years. A close female friend of ours gave me one. I put it on and have had nothing but problems with my bike and then in May had the worst wreck I have ever had. Totaled the bike and me too. I will never put one of those stinking bells on a bike ever again. Rant over. Yeah go ahead and put the bell on the new bike. Maybe you will have better luck with one.

Your not supposed to put the bell on yourself, if its a gift, that person or someone who cares about you is supposed to put it on, I just bought a 2010 fat boy lo and my friend at the dealership put mine on, 2 of them, they came off of the 2009 sportster I traded for it, never had any problems with that one!
