Anyone riding a bike with a set of boots has probably at some point found the socks they have on slipping down into the boots. Other than the usual "funny" answers, Velcro, Duct Tape, etc. has anyone actually found a way to keep their socks up or a pair of socks that stay up on their own while riding with calf-high boots?
Just asking and yes, this is a serious question, although not one of any earth shaking importance.
My grandpa used wear those elastic things that clipped to the socks and fitted around the top of his calf. Go to a bingo meeting betcha the guys there can tell ya where to get em
That happens in my hunting waders. I use neoprene straps (garters) that wrap around my legs and fasten with velcro. They come in camoflaged so don't worry about people seeing them and making fun of you. http://www.maumeetackle.net/ankle-ga...sid=pnvajlymzq
try Thorlos over the calf boot socks, they work great. They are kind of pricey at around $10 a pair, but they dont fall down and are comfortable. I get mine at Cavenders.

On the "funny" answers side, I have a Stanley staple gun I could loan you...no, no, don't thank me, nothin's too much to help out a fellow HDF member... : - )
If there IS a serious side to the "sock issue", I wear lace up boots, so I don't have a problem there...
