Waugh HD in orange, VA. Great mechanics, in fact the entire service dept is very professional. I live 70 miles from them, and bypas two closer dealers.
Give Mike Whaley a call (703-331-6166), he works out of his house garage in Nokesville VA. He's was the shop manager at Patriot HD before he retired. He's done good work for me before.
If you had an oppurtunity to see their/his work in person, you'd know what he means. Hacked-up, rusty stolen parts held on with bubble gum and duct tape. Nice, if you wanna call it art, but I wouldn't want to ride it.
East Coast has a new service Manager that is extremely knowledgable and their techs are better than some other local dealers. Every Harley dealer has pissed off somebody. They're no exception, but the people who work there want to do a good job and help you out. Dealers are pricey, though.
I used an indy in Fredericksburg for a tire change about 6 months ago. Nice guy, seems fair minded and has experience. Clean shop, too. Besides the tire change I have no other experience with him. He's a mechanic. Not a made in China helmet salesman.
