I always wait untill I can feel heat in the rear rocker box covers with my hand before I take off (usually not more than a couple minutes unless it's 20ş out)
I always let the motor warm up before riding, And it is fixed, I am just hoping its not an on going issue

I am reading this thread thinking that I am amazed that my HD's don't leak as a rule. When you consider the different joints and types of gaskets, seals, and torques. Between manufacturing tolerances and assembly. I think that considering how many bikes are made per year, HD did a good job. I have had two leaks on a 11 year old Evo with 30,000 miles. One leak was caused by a dumbass misaligning my belt and the other was failure of a paper gasket after ten years. My twin cam doesn't mark a spot or use oil after 50,000 miles and being worked on for up grades.
