I want to upgrade my brakes on my WG. I think I'm going to go with performance machine calipers and new rotors. Not sure what brand rotors yet. Now the question is polished or chrome? Does the polished look as good and is it harder than chrome to keep looking good? I figured I'd make this a poll and see what everyone thinks.
Don't know whats up with the poll, but I couldn't vote. Polished is always harder to keep up than chrome. If you don't stay after it, polished will oxidize on you and start lookin bad. My own preference though, is polished... I like the look better and I don't mind the added mantainence. You can save some money on the rotors by going the ebay route. I got both of mine for $120 and I'm happy with the quality. Check my gallery if you want better pics.
Sorry fixed the poll. Thanks Jamie I was looking at the rotors on ebay. They look good and the price was right I was just wondering about the quality. They look real good on your bike.
I got to say I really like the look of the polished thats why I put polished forward control's on my chopper, Should have went with Chrome The polished really look's good but is ever a pain in the a$$ to keep it looking good, won't make that mistake again.

Been there, done that... and remembered this time...lol.
I like the look of polished aluminum but I don't have the patience to keep after it. NEVER again.

Thanks for the replies guys. I was already leaning towards chrome so that's what I went with. Then you guys know the deal. I ordered the PM chrome calipers front and rear. Then got thinking well those calipers are gonna look good but they would look better with new polished rotors too. So I ordered a pair of them. Then I figured damn if I'm changing the rotors I definately need the matching chrome pulley. So I ordered that. Then I decided if I'm going through all this I might as well put the SS braided line on the back since I already did the front over the winter. So I ordered that too. I finally had to cut my self off when I started looking at wheels [&:]
So over a grand later I should be all set for awhile All this because I need BRAKE PADS on the front I think I have a disease
It works out ok since I sold the 06 sporty that I won last week so I think it's only right that a portion of my winnings go into my bike
