Ok may be a dumb question here but does "polished rotor" mean that the rotor is all chrome?

No it is not chromed just polished steel.

It looks like chrome Just bought a set yesterday and they look like chrome to me>>> but they say nothing about chrome on harley davidsons web site

Just like the name, they are polished not chrome.

I have chromed on my 89 and I polished the ones on my 06. The polished look almost as good. To the point that I will polish my own in the future.

Just don't do it if you like to use them, though! Terrible stopping capabilities especially in the rain.

They are actually polished stainless steel (s/s) rotors. A set of chrome rotors are chromed S/S. Make sure when you talk to people about what you are buying use the right terminology or you may not get what you thought you wanted.

I just put the polished DNA spoked rotors on 09 Ultra, my HD semi floaters warped after 38k miles. here is another site I found thinking about buying the Dyna chromed wheels from him.
