When I'm too old to ride my XL, I hope Harley is making some new models. Nothing
else in the line has any appeal to me. Ride what you like.

You know I've got to stop every 125 miles for gas and a **** stop. We need to drink more water but can't necessarily hold on to it. Just the changes some of are going through and how we are dealing with them. I know there are those tough 65+ years old with a 32 inch waist and can stay up and drink all night. Well that's great, go get 'em tiger.

I love riding and I'm not stopping. Just wanted to hear from some of you. Been taking care of myself for many years and not looking for the Depends dispenser. Just wanted to say, "How 'ya doing?"

Any ideas?
I just signed up for Medicare, and will probably wait on the Social Security for another year or so. I also try to take care of myself: limit the heavy carbs and junk food, take vitamins, eat fruits and veggies with anti-oxidants, etc. I work out a little every day: stationary bike, and then tread mill - I don't run anymore due to arthritis and a bunyon on one foot, but I walk at a fast pace. I work out with free weights three times a week, not for bulk anymore, but for repitition and to prevent osteoporosis. I also go through the get up twice a night to pee, but that goes along with BPH and getting older. There are a few researchers that are starting to look at aging not as a process, but possibly as a disease. There is no hard fast rule that we can only live to 80, or 90, or even 100. Why can't someone routinely live to 120 or more? We should be able to slow down the oxidative process that causes cell aging and death. There is no point in surrendering yourself to the aging process, you have to keep fighting to the last day. One of the best things I learned in the Army, was to suck it up and work through the pain, it will eventually subside.

"Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light."

I'll be 61 in June and love my 07 Heritage. Usually ride 2 up with the wife. We live in North Carolina and can't wait to do Sturgis for the first time. And no, we don't trailer our bike either.

Hey Danny D, I have the same problem with water passing thru to fast. I found that sports drinks, gatorade is my preference, don't pass thru so fast.
