I turn 65 in a little over a week. I live in the Kansas City area and rode my HD Fatboy back to MI last week. First day I rode 650 miles and the next day rode 150 miles through a downpour during severe weather warnings. While I was in MI I rode everyday with my son and his friends and on my way back I drove straight through from Greenville, MI to Lawrence, KS 800 miles in 13 hours and could have done some more. Grrrr!

If nothing else I am tenacious. I think many of us can out perform riders quite a few years younger. "I am as good once as I ever was."

Default Why make a choice

I'm 62. When I'm around the local area, I ride my Lowrider for fun, but have taken it to Daytona for Bike Week. For longer rides, I prefer the Heritage. I'm getting older, not old.

62 and after reading some of these I feel like a pup. The Heritage works for me, I can pack a few clothes in the bags and add an extra bag to the sissy bar if mamma is going along. I'm still working but making plans for the RT 66 run as a retirement present in a couple of years. Until then I have to settle for weekenders and day rides. Started out at 14 on a Cushman Eagle (anyone remember those)?

I'm 66.

Actually the older you get, the more "stuff" experience tells you you need to have along and the less you are concerned with petty appearance issues, but the less able you become to handle the weight of a bagger.

My own solution is a Super Glide w/ throw-over saddlebags.

I'm 60. I ride a "bagger" (09 Road King). I like comfort. Or is that Southern Comfort?!?! Yeah, I like that too... but, not when I'm riding.

67 here. Ride a Fatboy that has quick detach bags windshield and backrest and luggage rack. Also ride a 1200C Sportster around town.

I'm 57 soon. I can pick up either end of my bike, but so far, about 3-400 miles is a big day for my old buttcheeks. And that's after remodeling my saddle.
Must be made of tin.

Turned 60 yesterday so I guess I fit the bill. Now I can park my Harley in the Senior Citizen parking places. LOL
