Default bagger

58 this year and had a bagger for almost 3 years now. My RK had enough weight to keep it easy on road trips on the highway and enough ummph to get me where I want to go. Had a smaller bike before this and it was not as good on the bigger roads. Will keep this one and may move into something even more touring with a fairing later in life. Right now all I want is floorboard, bags, and a windshield. Must have tunes and a drink holder as well! I wonder if Lazyboy makes a motorcycle?

I turn 60 in 4 months, on my 13th bike and 2nd Harley, currently an 06 SG. If I get to feeble to hold the bike up, will go go a trike.

I just turned 70 yesterday, and I still love my 99 Softail Custom. But I would take a ride on NickD's bike in a New York minute.

I was 63 two years ago when I bought my new Fatboy. I rode almost 25,000 miles so far this year. I guess if I knew how much saddle time I would have I might have bought a Street Glide.

I have added detacable windshield, saddle bags, luggage rack T-Bags and so on. Probably could have should have bought the bagger.

Do the rest of you senior riders notice the same thing that I do? Nothing ever seems to hurt when I am riding, figure that we are so focused on what we are doing don't have any time to think of our assorted aches and pains!!! 60 and going strong.

Thanks for the offer NickD; I probably wont be in LA anytime soon as I live in the middle of KS. Sure love that bike though. I haven't ridden a hard tail since I had my 1942 "45" back in highschool.

I do have back problems, but for some reason my back doesn't bother me at all when I am riding, and even gets better after a long ride. A long ride for me is about 150 miles at a shot. I generally get off for a short spell at that point. Most of my rides are within 100 miles of home, but it doesn't make any difference, its the riding that counts. I just follow that skinny front wheel.
