I don't really mind the cold if I am dressed properly. I do not like all the salt and garbage on the roads. There is a ride tomorrow and it will be dry and about 10 degrees before windchill. That is too cold, but really I have the bike put away because of the salt and the I don't want my wheels pitted etc. Not worth the hassle.
No ice, snow, road salt, sleet/rain and such and it should be good. I can do cold or I can do wet.... but I'm too damn old to do cold and wet.
+1 ice, snow, or salt, generally I draw the line at 20ş, cuz at 80 mph, that's like negative 20ş or colder, only thing that usually gets cold is my finger tips (got heated gloves now, off season on ebay for 35 bucks, guy bought the wrong size) chaps, leather, neoprene face/neck mask

It used to be with stock machines ride as long as no ice on the roads. Now with big inch motors and heavy oil 45 degrees is absolute coldest, unless a little Ether id used.

Stock 88B EFI has no problems with the cold. The rider (me) does. Ether? LOL!

I draw the line at ice and salt on the roads.
Coldest I have ridden is in the teens but around here it gets cold and they salt the hell out of everything.
That's just it - riding into the winter up until the salt gets laid down on the roads. The salt powder dust just can ruin anything, especially with the moisture and condensation in the garage. Scooter gets stored until Spring and only then after a few good rainstorms have washed all the salt dust away.
