Wish I could help, I'm 6' tall and ride an Ultra BUT, my new shield from Long Ride Shields (8" recurve) just arrived yesterday so I haven't been able to ride with it yet. FWIW, I have a 9" Memphis Shades shield (no recurve) on there now and like it but it was getting pretty scratched up. With the recurve I went ahead and dropped down to an 8" to give that a try.
Jonnie.. been down this road too many times until I landed on a shield that works perfect for me and a lot of folks here. You will also get as many opinions on shields are there are riders.
I'm 5-10 and use the 10" light gray on my UC and the 9" dark gray on my SESG. I can see over both shields easily with inches to spare and the wind buffeting is gone. Call or email Matt, he is a sponsor here and has great customer service and the price is right. Every time I ordered a shield from him I had it in less than three days.
I will definately concur.....if I ever have to get another windscreen it will be from Matt.
