+1 I had a battery cable strand me on a short errand two hours after returning from a 150 mile ride. While waiting for a tow to arrive I found the problem. The battery cable would pull right out of the connector it had been crimped into by the factory down at the end that bolts to the starter. It looked fine otherwise and I had not had a problem before. I'd pull the seat off and give them all a slight tug if you haven't already and also make sure none are pinched.

Seems if the battery condition and connections are solid enough to allow starter engagement, the likelihood of it being the cause of a poor running engine is remote.

Found it, it was the damn power commander. It shorted out or something. I took it off and the bike is running fine.

I got caught in the rain with the pcV. It seemed like the pc did the same thing. I am going to have to check it out.

if you got it from fuel moto, they double the factory warranty to 2 years.
