Was just wondering ,, would be nice on road trips while we're sleeping.

If its equipped and all I need is a fob..........

A red key light means a security system is present.

What you can do is take down the part number located on the TSM/TSSM and run a part number check.

If the module is a TSM it is not equiped with a security system. If the module is the part number for a TSSM you have a security system and are missing a fob.

The 05 key fobs are push button fob. Push once to activate alarm. Push button twice to deativate. Your security system may or may not have the siren installed. With out siren with alarm on the bike will not start and the lights will flash; If siren is installed it will sound off if bike is moved plus it will not start. They also make a pager for the alarm system. Alarm can also be deativated by a series of pushes on he turn signal buttons just in case you lose your fob and alarm is on. The original selling dealer would problay know the sequince code for that., unless previous owner has changed it.

You might want to look to see if the security system is already installed. Is it possible that it is already there and the previous owner put a fob on the bike somewhere so they didn't have to carry it?
