My question is that I am trying to find heated glove liners without having to wait to get them shipped. Is it is a good bet that I can find them at the show? I really want to go for a ride on Saturday/Sunday/Monday. If I order them right now they will not come in time for that. I called both a HD dealer and also a bike store no one has the glove liners. I don't wear leather so need to get the liners.
I am really going stir crazy and will not be a happy camper if I don't ride on this long weekend. I already tried running (which is normally helps when I am like this) it didn't work this time.
You should be able to find them, not positive though. I did buy all new leathers at the bike show about two years ago, but after buying them realized that I hadn't really gotten much of a deal. I found my exact same leathers on-line afterwards for quite a bit less. If it were me, I'd skip the bike show, buy the gloves somewhere else and assuming the weather's good, just get a good ride in that day.
I avoid buying anything, at Major Bike Shows. Rea$on $tated.
Take the time, and get the ONES you WANT, not a 'patch' job.
Girl, you're startin' ta skeer me. I aint swallowing this 'concept' that you CAN'T ride without electric gloves.
IF nothing else, grab a pair of polypropylenes, to wear inside your present cold (??????) weather gloves to tide you over.
Gumby, mumblin' under his breath, as he goes to check if it is ABOVE ZERO, yet ???
liz go to your nearest hardware store, get a pair of insulated leather work gloves at least 1 size bigger then you would normally wear, then go to a wal-mart and get a pair of thinsualte 100gram gloves in your normal size use the thinsulate gloves as liners for the work gloves,
you can also subsitute the leather glvoes with neoprene huntign gloves liek thoughs found in sporting goods stores, i use them in temps going down as far as -35 with the windchill with no chill felt at all
Just look at it this way... say you find a pair of gloves online that are $25 and they have the same gloves at the show for the same price. Well now those $25 glove are going to cost you $50 because it cost $25 to get in the door... Unless you plan on buying a lot more stuff, I'd say look else where. I wasnt going to go to the Show here in NYC, but I might get a free pass, so what the hell.
I went to the Cycle World show here in Michigan, and it was just ok. Our show had 2 HD dealers in the area, with mixed offerings. It will be up to the local dealer.
Why not give a local DC dealer a call and ask them to bring some to the show for you?

A Gerbing's dealer was at the show last year with the full line of the Gerbing's heated gear. I don't know if any of the local dealers are offering discount coupons, but you can check both the Harley and the metric dealers.
Not sure of your location, but if you a have a farm/ranch store anywhere in your area, check them out. Many sell what you are looking for at WAY less than bike dealers sell them for.
