Default ...on a steel horse I ride!

When I first began riding again, if I was forced to go more than 50 mph I scared the **** out of myself. This morning I rode in to work at about 70-75 mph. Even felt comfortable enough to enjoy the scenery. Boy, what a difference 18 months of new riding experience makes!

I hear ya! When I was younger and too stupid too realize what 90+ on a crotch rocket meant to your health if a mistake was made. Now after 15 years without riding I was originally scared at certain speeds and the interstate, but now it is comfortable at those speeds and I actually prefer the interstate over highways, since there is no cross traffic to worry about. And man the June bugs sure do fell good at those speeds, don't they!

Good that you are feeling more comfortable. And I concur jakblu. Signaled roads are a pain w/the traffic

Keep a bit of that scared feeling to stay riding sharp - you don't want to doze off in the saddle
