Default Exercise To Ride-

How many people work out specifically to keep you on your bike longer and not feel the aches and pains from beating your body up on a average ride?

A lot of my riding is long distance at highway speeds at/or around 70 mph with cross winds, semi truck turbulence, and constant body position.

Main bodyparts affected are the shoulder joints, forearms, low back, leg biceps, neck, and calves.

Cardio is also good for stamina and to increase circulation so you don't get pooling or fatigue with duration riding.

I'm training for a 3000 mile ride this upcoming year across the huge states of WA, WY, MT, etc.. it's like the Olympia.

Now for the gratuitous use of sex to sell my point....

I work out in general, but am motivated by wanting to continue motorcycle riding, and skiing. Gotta keep moving.

About a 45 minute walk whenever I'm not riding.

I didn't catch a word of your post.

Seriously, I try to stay in shape with 3 to 4 days a week workouts. Not just for riding, but because I actually like working out and the benefits that go with it. More energy, mental health, etc.

Gotta say, I never wanna be one of those Harley riders with a huge gut who looks like the bike can barely hold him.

Absolutely, roller-skate and ride a bike. Both help with the balance.
Just turned 65 and the older you are the more important it is to keep in shape.

Hell no, I work out so I don't look or act like people my age. It's just a plus that I can get up the day after a long ride and not be hunched over bitching about my aches and pains.
