I have an 06 Dyna Superglide and am really pretty much satisfied with it but have really had my eye on a new Peace Officers Edition 07 Fatboy or 07 Peace Officers Edition Road King. The wife dont ride all that much but if she had a lil more room and was a lil more comfy she might want to ride more often. I am in love with the new design changes on the 07 Fatboy but I suppose the Road King would be more practical, not sure though. And the Heritage Softail Classic would also be an option. My concerns are that I have heard that the softtail models vibrate really bad at upper hwy speeds. Looking for some opinions. I know it would be easier to go and rent one and try,... but there isnt any dealers close that do rentals. This Dyna is my 1st Harley and I love how it feels at Hwy speed, plus I like the, "cool factor", that it has when riding solo as well.
I have a 2006 Heritage softail and it rides awsome on the highway. What do you mean higher speeds the limit here is 70 and I run 78-80 with no problem the engine just purrs like a kitten. I haven't had it over a 100 yet maybe that's when the vibes start. There all great bikes buy what you love the most Good Luck. Tom

any suggestions?

I started on a Dyna also. I rented many models before settling on a Road Glide. Comfortable long distance touring for 1 or 2 at superslab speeds and has the same engine as your Dyna. Uh..., that is up to '06s. I cannot say anything about the '07s. Good luck.
I ride my softail std. between 70-90 always except in town and never
felt any excessive vibration all bikes will vib. some but mine is smooth
except under hard acceleration then you get the feel of the engine

I have a Fat Boy and I love every freaking thing about it. If I had the money for another bike, it definitively would be a Road King. Much more comfortable in the long haul and you can still keep it looking very mean and lean. The Road King can look as well cruiser or boulevard show off.
