Hi I am new to this forum, and am looking for help finding the right 2 into1 exhaust for my bike . I have an 07 FLSTC, it's a 103 with se255 cams and a race tuner, right now I have Vance & Hines big shot longs with the quiet baffles. I am looking to quiet it down as it is too loud since doing the engine mods, I have been looking at the new Pro -Pipe Chrome and the fat cat both with the quiet baffles. I personally like the looks of the Pro-Pipe better, and am concerned with how low the fat cat sets on the bike. The fat cat seems to set a lot higher on the touring models than it does on the softails and my problem is that I have already been dragging the bigshots when riding 2 up in the mountains, so I don't want to get any lower if I can avoid it. I have also heard some of you talking about how the 2 into 1 will perform better on the lower end and midrange over my bigshots that would be a plus , but have also heard about a flat spot in the torque with the Pro Pipe does any one have any input on the new Pro Pipe chrome?
best quiet 2-1 is the supertrapp... performance experts will recommend the fatcat or supertrapp as the best pipes out there.... I have a fatcat, I scrape it sometimes at the tail end section.
This is just my opinion, but the Thunder headers are not an option for me ,every single one i have seen has been sooty and blued . They don't sound bad but not impressed with their appearance at all.

That's one thing I liked about these before I bought them, they lifetime warranty against discoloration.
Don't get me wrong, I know there's hundreds of exhaust systems and it took me forever to decide on mine.
I just ordered the supertrapp supermegs for my fat bob. Should have them in a week or so, I'll post comments once I get to ride with them. But the reason I choose them is basically what you asked for, they are both good for power and are (or can be) quite.
