Default Oregon Bed roll

Has anyone ever used one of these. Every time I see one of their adds, I want to get one and head off into the sunset

I'm assuming this is like a "camping" item?

Ride yer bike somewhere, get tired, then lay in the dirt for a good nights sleep?

No thanks, if I can't shower in the morning and have a cup of hot coffee I ain't going.

Man I rode and carried a bedroll all durring 20s on a Sportster. what a great wayto see thee country. for the last couple decades have rode the same only on an electraglide of one flavor or another. but learned to use the hammoc. tie one end up 5ft high to a tree or something and the other end to the floorboard. makes a great bed especially if you lay one of the foam mats in it.
the ol army ruksacs make a great camp pack used one for years. holds lots of goodies and mounts clean without crap hanging all over. youlearn to was up in rivers lakes creeks
bike bums learn so much more about the country than sleeping indoors.

Last time I looked at their website it said they were sold out and are taking pre orders for March. They also said they are coming out with a lower priced model.

$258 for a therma rest and air pillow covered in canvas? Seems pretty pricey to me.

I found a canvas bed roll shell on ebay. Just throw blanket/sheet in it and great sleep/carry. Better than sleeping bag cause bigger. Not nearly as expensive as pre-made Calif bed roll..

Seemed pretty pricey to me as well. But I bought one anyway.

Edit. I've got a really phuked up back and I sleep like a baby on mine. It was worth every penny to me.

I've had one of the Thermarests for 20+ years and it's still good and has provided me with hundreds of good nights of sleep.

JBA111 has got me thinking. Hammock tied to a tree and my seat rail. Put the Thermarest in the hammock, bag on top of the mattress and then run a string from 6-7' up the tree to the seat rail and put a poly tarp over it and instant tent and bike theft alarm system. Sounds good to me. Wrap the whole thing up in the tarp and tie it with the string. Kool!!

Has a good beat and I think I can dance to it. I'll give it a 9.
