Once you get used to it you will like it. I had one on my previous bike. When I traded for my WG, I missed it.

I used my heel/toe shifter often when I rode an Ultra Classic. It was a nice feature.

I only use the heel shifter after I have stop. I like toe shifter as I ride.

Not a big fan of heal shifters. Took it off my Heritage and put a cap on it.

I always use the heal shifter on my Heritage. The only negative is when I jump on the Wide Glide and try to heal shift it.

IMO the heel shifter just gets in the way. So after my heel shifter fell off and my toe shifter loosened up to where it just slid around on the shaft ( wouldn't tighten up any more ), I replaced the whole POS thing with a soft brake toe shifter and been happy ever since.

Never got used to heel shifter.I just turned mine around on the spline so the peg faces in and set the angle like the toe shfter. It is out of the way and have a spare always handy.

I took mine off any used the kurakyn bushing. That let me mount the toe shifter on the outside giving me a little more tip to work with. I hated the way it constrained my size 12 from moving around on the board.

I also almost removed it when I first got a bike with it but learned to use it and I find I like it a lot.

I had one on another bike, and never liked it, so just used the front shifter for up and down. One problem that I had with it was putting my foot too far back on the floor boards and accidentally shifting up. I am much happier with the single shifter on my Street Bob.
