I was riding home last night and I see a big snake streached across the road and I didn't really make any effort to avoid running over the darned thing. BIG MISTAKE,........ well after I ran over it, it suddenly flew up and onto my leg. At that point I was ready to jump ship. Somehow it then flew off my leg and hit the road but needless to say a fresh pair of underwear was needeed when I got home,...LOL I still dont know how I avoided crashing out. So,... my advise would be try and avoid the lil slithering creatures.
If you're going to have to run over one, aim for the head. Don't go over the middle so they are able to do grab on. Glad you are okay and that you didn't dump it. That woulda sucked.
As a former breeder of "slithering creatures" I probably would have pulled over and try to catch it.However, I did bail out of my truck when a locust landed on my arm once.

Hmmm...I wonder if the old thing about rattlers puncturing tires is true? ...never tried it
Yeah, here in Az a few years ago I saw up ahead what looked like a broken fan belt. At the last second I realized it wasn't!!! I'm sure glad I gave it enough room.
