Default Knucklehead, softail q's

Stupid question here, will a knucklehead motor fit on a softail frame?

Why,Why,Why? Sure it will fit but why?The biggest problem is the height and the evo is taller than the knuckle, pan &shovel without stroker plates.

WHY? Prolly because the evo & twin cams are UGLY blockhead motors? Shovels ,pans & knucks are otonly better looking , but generally sound much better as well , and YES you CAN get respectable power from them !

Default knucklehead in softail

I put a 103" knuck in a 86 fxst frame with a ultima 6 speed . belt drive primary and secondary, yrs ago. just have to do a little looking to see what will work with what. Had to run a 90-91 primary to make elec. starter to work. ITS a HEAD TURNER.

Back about 30 years ago, right after the factory released their first softails, I saw a knuckle in a softail at the Little Bear in Colorado. I thought it was pretty cool at the time. I haven't seen one since.
