Riding into to work this morning, keeping an eye on the weather (Wonderfully cool temp coming in this morning) and I get to the intersection for my turn in to work and I was having problems getting it down shift out of 4th. Released the clutch and gave it another pull and got it to shift down to first. OK, pulling through the intersection and making my turn I try to shift to 2nd. Hits neutral and goes no higher.
Hmm I say and downshift to first again and try again. Same deal, hits neutral and acts like it is topped out. Managed to limp her the rest of the way in first (very short trip) and parked her and then checked the linkage to verify that nothing was stopping the shfit from happening. All clear but still can't shift beyone neutral.
My dealer will be picking her up in a few hours and my extended warrenty is covering the tow. (extended warrenty covers up to $100.00 for a tow) My Service Man says it sounds like something he has seen before and everything will be covered.

RE: FireHawk - Houston, we have a problem.
That sucks. At least it sounds like you were not in any danger of getting rear ending. Thank God. Good luck and I hope all gets fixed before the weekend.
Sorry to hear that Firehawk...hoping it's an easy day fix and you'll be back on the road in time for the weekend. Have you considered a Heritage Softtail?
Since it's in the shop-n-all gettn wrenched, what's the chance that you might have them......oh, I don't know...maybe through in a big bore kit? I mean, since they are going to have it all tore apart anyway...
