Parts arnt that hard to find for the 75 ironhead, cases are hard to find replacments but as long as the cases are good everything in and attached to them can be sourced alot faster, easier and cheaper then trying to put a shovelhead in your sporty frame.
if your intent on putting a shovel head in the sporty frame then look at an entirely custom frame built around your orginal neck cause thats about the the only way its gonna happen. then your talking mega $$$$$$.
i rebuilt my 69 xlch over the winter and had no problems findign parts and the pre 70 xlch parts are alot rarer then the 75 sporty LOL. what is exactly wrong with the motor that you need to replace the entire thing?
also somthing else to keep in mind if i recall corectly 75 had the VIN on the engine AND the frame and they both must match up in certain states to be able to register it legally so check with your DMV if your intent on an engine swap
