Congrats! Does your department have a drill team? My former city Indianapolis had two at one time, the IMPD and county Sheriffs, now that they have combined the departments I have no idea what that meant to the drill teams.

Actually there are NO openings in our motor unit right now for supervisors, which is why I'm amazed they approved my request. I think maybe I just wore them down.
BUT...my wife just noticed that our Mexico trip, already booked and paid for, conflicts with the first 2 days of the class. We had originally planned on a 5 night trip and I applied for this so long ago I forgot about it when we extended it to a 7 night trip. I have a call in to the travel agent to see if it's financially feasible to change the dates. 30 minutes ago I was seriously happy, now I'm seriously bummed.

That is awesome! My hubby's department doesn't really have a motorcycle division but they do have bikes that you can sign out for your shift if you are in certain sections. I tell him he should do it all the time but he is a little hesitant being a fairly new rider. I really wish his department offered a special class for him. That would be great! Good luck!
