Ive notice that there are less Softail threads here also. I guess its either that there is not much to do to them, no one does any thing with them or... there is less wrong with them.LOL. I dont know , maybe were too busy riding them than worrying about the handling .
Someone better warn the metric riders too. They have an oil pan below the frame as well. How could the government and these companies allow this epedemic to continue. I mean, they forced toyota to recall! I remember now hearing it all over the news.
Wait, no, I don't. I don't recall any mention of this except for the product manufacturer claims.
OH, and we better add one to every car ever made.
Idiot driver not paying attention to the road =/= bad engineering.
it's all good just stirrin' the pot a bit & havin' a bit of fun
( but dayum,, the dyna dudes can sure get their panties in a bunch in a hurry if you diss the dyna )
i wouldn't really put one of those skidplates on my dyna,, BECAUSE I WOULDN'T OWN A DYNA
If you own a Harley Davidson Dyna or have a loved one who does, then you could be riding on a death trap!
Harley Davidson / Buell Motorcycle Company is keeping a dark sinister secret from every Dyna owner!
Harley has paid out hundreds of thousands of dollars to the victims and or families of victims who have died or been injured because of this design flaw, without acknowledging fault. Also , has promised to correct the problem but in the last 5 years the only change is a shallower pan that is approximately a half inch shorter, there is no noticeable difference in the design and it still protrudes below the frame.
Good lord what a load of bull crap.
I love my Dyna. It's no sportbike (of which I've owned several) but it's a great do-it-all bike and after a few relatively low cost mods, it handles pretty darn good. I've only test-ridden a couple Softails so I can't really say for sure how they handle, but just try them both and buy the one you love.
I don't know where the problem is, guys. The dynas are the best looking sportsters ever made. And Hey! The sons of anarchy ride them, they have to be badass.
There is nothing wrong with the softails. Most of the girls like the way you can lower them down to fit them.

cadman311 - Your avatar boasts "Outstanding HDF Member" and over 3000 posts, I see nothing outstanding about your recent posts. What's got you so pissed off that you've got to resort to childish remarks. I agree the girls like the way you can lower the softails, it's easier for them to climb on and off the bike. I also know plenty of women who ride full Deckers, V-Rods, Sportsters and YES Dyna's, ( I expect a scooter trash remark here ). Maybe you just gotta get out for a good long ride and get that sh*t out of your head....Relax before ya give yourself an aneurism.
P.S. to tequilajohn...now that's funny!!!
