What do you consider most when doing mods? Would you put a safety mod at a higher priority than a performance mod?

I can't vote on this because it all depends on the mod being done as to what I think about first, if it is for looks then I think how is it gonna look, if for performance, I think what is this gonna do to my engine, and ETC.

I voted performance. Not just cause I wanna go fast, but cause I love performance. Besides...safety, comfort and function, I feel, all fall under the performance category. I think the only thing I've put on my bike in the 5 years I've owned it is the "Live to Ride" clutch cover that I installed when I deformed the stock one.

Yup, and when the day comes I need a new bike the "reason" will be because the new bikes have ABS and it will be much safer.

I voted performance, but because I want my bike to run right. Comfort is also important, so it is set up for my riding style. I also putting running lights on the bike and an LED brake light so I can be seen better, which is a safety issue as far as I'm concerned.

+1. Agreed. Comfort is also very important for touring, and being comfy can contribute to safety as well, IMO.
