I don't think I've experienced this more on the left or the right leg, but when the wind is strong to one side I'll tie a bandanna around my calf. works wonders and cuts down on wind resistence. We rode up to sturgis last year about 90mph the whole way and it didn't bother me a bit.
If that doesn't work .... chaps are a life saver!!!
Yeah, I have the same problem on my Dyna. Must have something to do with the turbulence created by the breather or maybe Ionic winds. I just hook the toe of my boot under the brake pedal.
yeah that's what I do too.....I'm thinking of getting floorboards in an attempt to avoid this.

I'm sure you having size 16 feet is part of the problem.
Floorboards would definitely changes things for you. You get a lot of options on where to put your feet. I originally thought I'd ditch the boards on my bike & go with pegs. I figured out pretty quick how sweet they are.
When I had my FX Springer I couldn't get comfortable on long rides no matter what I tried....even a sweet set of PM extended forward controls didn't help (I'm 6'1").
Since going to the geezer Ultra, all that grief is gone.
