Made in china ?
Ok, I have been a Harley Lover for 13 years now, but this is what I was told ! Maybe this is not as much as a secret as I assumed ? The MOCO ships its engine and trans. parts from communist China, even frames. A truck driver that delivers to a dear person that I know, also picks up from the left coast and delivers to the MOCO. He said that the manifest (shipping papers) defines his cargo as engine and trans. parts and frames ! Sad to say, that HD's are really not "made in America" only assembled here !!
It is so sad that this country has allowed its manufactures to go outside our country, all to save the higher labor rates and benifits packages ! Craig

Harley gets parts in from all around the world. Many cast wheels from Australia and other parts from Japan and Italy. Buell alloy frames where made in Italy and the later engines in Austria. As for Harley clothes....

You should watch who you call a troll, and open your eyes a bit. You’ll be hard pressed to find a single piece of Harley clothing that is made in the good ol USA. And many of their bike parts are brought in from over seas. It is sad. It is even more sad that there are so many people with their rose colored glasses on that refuse to see there is a problem.

I'm pretty sure the frame, engines, trannies, etc are made in the U.S.A. A lot is imported for sure, but those items I'd bet are American made.

I'm not surprised at all if this might have some truth in it. Between company's greed and the fact that the SOB's in Washington has sold this country out!!! I still love my Harley and plan to ride until I can't.

Maybe it depends on where your dealer gets them.
