I been thinking bout getting one, i've been looking at firehouse customs they look very comfortable and I've heard
good things about them. They bolt right on to, but they do not fold down. Price $155 plus shipping.
I had the Firehouse Customs & it works fine but if you look hard enough (here, ebay) you may get a steal on a seat with a built in removable fold down backrest.
I bought a Mustang with a matching pillon for the Heritage for 450 shipped in like new condition. I sold my stock seat & pillon for 185 & the Firehouse backrest for 125. My net was 140.00 for the Mustang complete plus about 25.00 to ship the seats so for about the cost of the of the FHC backrest I got a great Mustang setup. Just be patient & shop around.
Edit:Well not exactly correct. You don't have the FHC backrest to sell, oops!

thanks everyone for all the replies. it looks like i'm gonna have to try out the mustang wide solo, the HD sundowner (if they even make it w/ driver backrest for an 06 wide glide) and an ultimate (again, if they can make one for a FXDWG)
so, has anyone do any custom work to add a driver backrest to their stock seats? It doesn't look too complicated, but i'd be happy to hear anyone elses experience w/ this sorta thing.
