My dealer winked as well so I rode it like I was gonna, just tried not to keep at the same RPM for long periods. No problem, bike always ran strong (now have 3k miles). Good luck.
dealer didn't wink that would have been a little strange but he
did tell me not do worry about the break in as that would get me run over here in so cal
on the freeway so I rode it like I always do ( some say I should change that)
so far no problems 24.000 miles
Mine told me about it, but it is so much different than my first harley. I mean under 55 for the first 50 miles just meant I went to some twisties. Under 70 for the next 450 just meant I stayed off the freeway, which is quite easy to do where I live. Honestly, I took it to 90 at about 400 miles and am not too worried
I was trying to figure out how to get home at 55 mph. That is what my 02 Road King called for. My salesmen told me no more than 70 till 50 miles than no more than 80 till after 500 miles.
