I check all the cable and my fob seemed to work fine. the dealer came and picked the bike up yesterday and said they would try to charge the battery and if that didn't work, they'd replace it. I had to go out of town so I won't get my bike back until Tuesday. I'll keep ya'll updated on what they find. The representative from the dealer agreed that it was just a dead battery when he came to pick it up.

stay that way overnight, the battery should recharge itself and you'll be able to start it in the morning.
Do I need to wear my boots when I do this, or can I wear my tennis shoes?

Gotta agree..loose connection on the battery, sounds like the cause..I always have a trickle charger on mine in between rides. Even if its just the next day..good idea to learn a little more about your bike, in case you're out on the road somewhere and there's no dealer around to come get your bike !

Got my bike back today and it starts up just fine. The dealer just left it on a battery charger over night and that did the trick. As a lot of you have said, from sitting on the showroom floor and being started all the time but never charged, the battery had just lost power. I ordered a battery tender that should be here in a couple of days so I'll never be in this spot again. thanks for all the comments and advice.

This reminds me, since I am sidelined for a few weeks after having knee surgery, I guess I need to hobble out to the shop and hook mine up to the tender. It's only been 4 days and I have the itch really bad to go ride.
