I rarely wear my leather boots. I bought a pair of those black HD reenforced high-top tennis shoes. Comfortable on and off the bike. Very good for riders who need a wide shoe.
Another vote for Cruiserworks. Have had mine 4 years and you can ride or walk all day in them. I've also ridden hours in the rain with them and feet were completely dry.
I'll say the HD boots are fine for riding, nice grip on road when stoped, really good leather.
support if fine...
Just don't plan on walking very far or long in them....being 60 and a "little overweight" (hehe), doesn't help either.
Not fat mind U,,, just need to be a foot taller and then the chart would be right.
I wear a pair of Red Wing safety boots almost all day everyday and love them. I think the only bummer part is they only are available (that I have found) in brown color. I work in a warehouse setting and am required to wear safety toe boots that cover the ankle. I spent the money and bought a pair of Kevlar toe for the weight and heat part and I LOVE them. I used to go home from work and take my boots off, not anymore.
I wanted one pair of boots for riding, hiking and hunting. I purchased a set of Danner Ft. Lewis boots. Great boot, made in the USA, which I have had over six years now. Will be ordering a new pair soon.
I have a pair of Harley boots (stock #93074) that are very comfortable for both riding and walking. They have a zipper up the side which makes putting the boots on and taking them off very easy. Pricing was comparable to other similar boots.
I've been wearing these same boots for a year now. Like Foodog says, they are very comfortable for riding and walking.
