I have 2 pairs of boots I love. One is a pair of Icon SuperDuty III's. You can ride or walk in them all day, right out of the box. Get the right fit and they feel like slippers, though they're not coming off, with a lace system and support strap. The second pair I just picked up at Americade last month. They're a pair of Road Wolf Dominators. They are a traditional looking harness boot, waterproof and again supercomfortable. Both have a different feel on the shifter but easy to switch from one to the other.
I have two pair of boots I wear. Wolverine waterproof, insulated boots and my warm weather boots that are Bates Tactical II boots that are as light as running shoes, that lace the front, have side zippers, are vented and are 9" high. I also read a weather forecast before I leave.
At the recommendation of a couple of fellow HDF members, I ordered a certain set of Harley boots. I went to onlinebootstore.com because they had the best price. What a mistake. After just over one week I get an e-mail that says they are out of stock and placing my order on backorder. Now THERE is customer service for you!!! I called their 1-800 number and just cancelled; what a joke. I was wondering why I couldn't see my order tracking; it seemed odd that there site says 4-6 business days are needed to begin tracking the order. I just figured the boots would be shipped within a couple of days, and you may get them even before the tracking showed up. I am in no hurry so a week or week and a half to get them would be no big deal. But to receive an out-of-stock notification after an entire week has passed... how does this joint stay in business. Dang, and I like doing business in Wisconsin. I just ordered the same pair from The Shoe Shack and I will post on the customer service they provide in case anybody is interested. Sturgis is approaching rapidly.

Wow Rural King is good advice, I checked online and their prices are awesome, e.g. Harley Brakelight boots for $94.99. And the store is a straight shot south. If the Shoe Shack thing doesn't work out, a possible mini road trip.
