I was riding today on the back roads ,and these potholes that I was seeing could KILL someone . WOW the is going to be crazy in a couple of weeks . When more riders start coming out , How is your state dealing with the potholes this year with economic times to fix the roads .
hahahahahhha. This thread will be great!!!!. I have a 1 mile stretch right up the street from me that leads to the back roads. If I walked the 1 mile stretch I would probably count over 1,000 potholes no joke. It's dangerous in a car. NYS sucks and are broke right now...I better find another road to take.
The city of dayton ohio has a pothole hot line... Call and complain and eventually they will come repair it.
But i was driving my truck back from indianapolis and there was a pothole in the slow lane that about jerked me off the road. I noticed it, but it was under the overpass and the shadow was preventing me from seeing how bad it was. I know for a fact if i had hit that with my bike, i would have been sliding down the road. I was hot about it and called the highway department about it. They said they would look into it.
The entire state of PA is a death trap for riders. Instead of fixing potholes properly they just throw the tar on top of the pot hole and let the cager's smash the tar down . I have always said that the day I do go down will be because of grand canyon potholes we have in this lovely state.
I have a nice beautifull cement driveway, that leads into a street with several foot deep holes and with that all kinds of loose gravel. I roll in/out everytime praying I dont lay it down, I just wish it was legal for me to do a quick asphalt fill job or something. Its ridiculous, the real problem is I live on the corner turn, and the road expands/buckles right at the end of my drive. The rest of the street is fine.
Don't go near Baltimore City (as if the murder rate wasn't reason enough). It was bad before this winter, now it's ridiculous.
Haha, took a trip to B-more with my friends, and took a cab down to the power plant (area with all the bars). Cab driver took the longest way possible so when we got there we paid him the given amount but did not tip the shiesty bastard, he screamed at us, got out of the cab and tried to chase us down . The whole time during the cab ride he was telling us that a bunch of white boys don't belong in B-more. O well.
Guy on BON just had a pot hole cause 2k in damage to his bike. But today he posted that the one he hit was caused by DOT and they are paying for the repairs. After our winter there are ones in DC that could swallow my car so I am very careful.

Seriously man. I trashed a front rim a few weeks ago on I-95 south bound going over the Patapsco River Bridge right before the 895 overpass. Came off the bridge and a sheet of pavement was missing that took up pretty much the entire lane. Going 85 mph and there was no way to avoid it. Rode on it for a few weeks before I even noticed it. It was bent up pretty good. I have no clue how it didn't affect the ride.
Forum member hooked me up with a mint SoCal take-off for $100 shipped...unfortunately its not even cost effective to try and repair the bent wheel. It's trash.
