I have a pair of HD Racetrack glasses, the ones with the full foam. They seem to block out plenty enough of wind to keep my eyes from drying out... but they keep too much out, causing them to fog up constantly and just be generally uncomfortable.
Now I know there are glasses that have like foam ridges instead of a almost goggle like foam. Has anyone had any experience with those? I'm afraid to buy a decent pair just to have my eyes dry out just as bad as a pair of Oakley's or something!
I bought a pair of transition glasses from Harley that have the surrounding foam. They are very versatile in that I can wear the same glasses during the day and at night and the foam is also detachable. If you want I can post a pic.
With a windshield on my Road King and the one I had on my Street Glide, just a pair of regular wrap around glasses work fine for me. I've had the ones with slotted foam that worked great and didn't fog up

I wear contact lenses as well and tried the cheap Harley Davidson goggles. I had issues with them fogging and not being comfortable. I tried all the glasses they had at the dealer and found that a pair that fit my face well. They are made by Wiley X. They have light adjusting lenses and a removable foam "gasket" so you can wear them off the bike like regular sunglasses. You need to try a bunch of them because each pair fits differently. FYI: I do not have a windshield and ride with an open face half helmet. Good luck.
I always ride wearing contacts and currently wear WileyX XL-1 glasses with good results. I also have worn fairly cheap goggles with the same results. The only time I have had fogging was in rain when the weather was somewhat cold (in the Colorado mountains).
