I changed over to Amsoil 20-50 in all 3 holes 500+ miles ago and can see a major difference. The exhaust from my pipes was very rich, mush worse than any of the Bikes I ride with. Now by all means I am not a mechanic but I can do oil changes and maintenence when required. My question is the increase in torque and power is due to the type of oil used? The exhaust is 90% cleaner and the bike overall runs quieter and cooler. The transmission sometimes is a bit clunky but overall she shifts smoother. I have to hand it to this forum for waking me up and giving me the opportunity to enjoy my bike so much more.

As an Amsoil dealer I can tell you that the less friction the better the engine will perform. That is a quality that any good synthetic oil should have. Friction does rob power...however, you will not see significant performance gains (hp/tq)...don't know why the exhaust seems cleaner...unless maybe you are burning oil and Amsoil burns differently than the other brand you were using..I would look into that though.
Glad you like the product...it is quality, even though others will argue...to each there own..if you are satisfied, that's what counts.
I could be wrong. It may be made by Sunoco. I know Amsoil has a cross reference chart it shares with Harley, but that doesn't mean they make it for them.
