Five of us (2 are father and son) go for a ride every year together and the father came down with cancer and was on his last leg. His son visited him and had his bike in the garage the morning he was going to join the other 3 - we were going to finish the ride back at his place to say our own good-byes.
The father heard the bike start up and the son went up to his room to say good-bye. "I love that sound", was the last thing we think he said - ever.
Crap. But that was good he had a smile. But... crap.
I reckon hearing my low rider fire up and my son saying so long dad would bring a smile and send me off happy to be headed where ever I'll be going. Hope his dad is in the wind somewhere with endless sun and twisty roads.
