If you look hard enough you can find shirts and other Harley things that are made in U.S.A.
I've noticed that the ones made here usually have the dealership advertising on them.

Been that way a long time. Now, to boot: China is ALSO the world's biggest automotive market.
Regarding cows and leather: we probably export the leather to China where they use their labor to make the products that they in turn export to the USA.
10 years from now, China will be a primary shareholder of GM - wait and see.
The only thing we make more of than the rest of the world THESE days seems to be DEBT.
I don't like it - but that is the way its going.
Having made my living in manufacturing - mostly automotive - for the past 27 years, I sure as hell hope things change for the better.

The last leather jacket that I bought from the MOCO was made in the USA. ........... However, that WAS in 1992.

I bought USA HD leather in 2000 and I'm sure they made money on it.

Wages didn't go up that much in the last 10 yrs so it must be greed.
