No more than 25 years ago those people were making steel in their back yards with charcoal. Then a bunch of dummies in Japan anf the good old USA gave them the tools to make ****. Now they make everything.
Bought a Buck knife off of The Knives Live Show on the teevee -- good show by the way, couple old boys from East Tenn. Damn knife was made in China! Couldn't believe it! A Buck knife made in China! I about crapped a 110.
And speaking of 110s, I got one off ebay this week - a three-pin with a brass insert. Man, those old 110s were way cooler than what the Idaho Buck people are churning out when they aren't slurping won-ton soup!
They are duty bound to their stockholders to make as much money for them as they can. Can't do that by licensing Fox Creek to make their leathers for them.
I'd venture a guess that the MoCo makes more money off it's foreign made clothing and bike accessories than they do on their bikes themselves.
