and amazingly enough in this thread, I agree with IH for a change.
These people buy the Harley (even though it's loaded with foriegn parts), and then bitch about how they can't buy a made in america shirt.
Well duh.....The bike you bought is almost 2/3rd's American (the actual number, not that ridiculous stat quoted previously), and you expect the clothing and acessories to be made here? Wake the hell up.
Victory is better in this respect, but not by much. The bikes are almost all american, but the acessories and clothing is made elsewhere just like Harley's. And Victory charges the same ridiculous prices as Harley for the crap as well.
Hopefully, since the far east labor force is wising up and starting to organize, maybe some of that production will come back here.
Ridiculous stat? Schu, are you jealous? The stat came from an article in Thunder Press. I read it myself so it must be true.
we all need to stop buying that imported crap see how much money they make if we boycott
Guess we could all start by throwing away our computers, televisions, other electronic equipment, etc., etc., etc.......
Then we can part out the 'imported crap components' on our bikes, cars, trucks, and try to figure out how to get everything up and running again using nothing but 'official Made In USA' stuff...
I agree on the jackets. And most of the time, those 120 buck Packistan leather jackets (have one myself) are a far better quality than those 500 dollar ones. Makes no sense
