Can't you just go protest some place that allows smoking or stop adults from eating foods they decide and leave motorcycles alone.

+1 I agree

Whoopty ****. Road rash. I got a lot of floor burns in HS playing basketball. Took stitches in the head a couple times from flying elbows. Never give a thought to wearing a helmet and leathers to play hoops.

Obviously those wearing shorts know the risks of road rash but if they choose to wear them, more power to them. I never even get on the bike without wearing jeans and boots. I don't know how you wear shorts with a hot engine and pipes right next to your legs!

Do the letters F U ...mean anything to you?

You know there are people who drive cars that are not motorcycle riders. I am thinking that most of them are thinking we are crazy to be riding motorcycles. Let me make sure I understand, if I wear jeans, boots, etc. I will not get road rash? I am of the opinion that jeans only will just slow down the road rash for a split second. Every person who chooses to ride should decide/realize before ever riding that there is a certain level of danger (including death)
riding motorcycles that is not present in cars. I know first hand that my motorcycle hitting a car head on at 65mph and me tumbling down the road with short sleeve shirt and pants (non-jeans) is not fun. I also know that the love and fun I have with motorcycles makes me continue to ride. Let's all ride as we please as long as it does not directly endanger others and be non-judgemental.

Jeans will give 3 feet before road rash will start cutting your skin. Couple bucks buy jeans with kevlar and get 100 feet of sliding with out any problem. You still could use padding like people do playing sports.
