Ever get stung while riding?

That is one of the reasons I haven't rushed to get my bike fixed. I have become extremely allergic in just the last year. I never used to have a reaction, but now the anaphalaxis sets in within moments. The last time I hit myself with the Epipen right as I was about to go out. It happened in less than a minute.
The good news is, I am now taking shots to desensitize myself from the stings. The doctor said that I should be protected after 15 weeks. I also found out that I am not allergic to bees, just wasps and hornets.

After buying my first bike, a shiney 97 sporty. I was into my 2nd week of riding, while cruising down a back road on a sunny day thinking about how cool i am a bee flies right up my nose. After about crashing and beating my nose and squeezing my nostrils i finally realized i should just blow my nose. It worked but my side of my face was swollen for a couple days, it was great! Been stung numerous times since but nothing like that. Ofcourse after only 3-years of riding the sporty i havent ridden without a windsheild since!

hitting one at speed is kinda unavoidable,but wearing cologne actually attracts them.I just use mennen skin bracer aftershave and that is not an attractant.Also if you can get home in time , white powered meat tenderizer quickly kills the sting and prevents bruising/swelling.Just mix it with a little water and spread it on.

I have been strung in the truck and in a car. I have been strung outside many times. But most bees that I hit on the bike die right away. They just don't like my Kevlar.

I think sometimes you hit them while they are at just the right angle, probably flying away from you, so their stinger is pointed right at you, and boom, their stinger just goes right in. Last one went just over the top rim of my shades and got my eyelid. But then sometimes they get inside your clothes alive. Those are the ones that will kill me as I tend to panic.
