I'm more concerned about the rider getting hurt than the bike....if I'm certain the rider can handle the bike safely without hurting himself then yeah.....I'll let him ride it.......I love it so much I feel like an ambassador for the hobby.....

You don't just let any one drive your car or ride your bike.

You have to know them, and no their ability.

Then maybe you do if you have an old beat up Honda Rebel 250 that you have sitting in the back of your garage and let a beginner try it out in an out of the way place.

No there is the rub!!!

My sister-in-law's husband, a drunk, would ask to ride my bike, " So I can stop by my old watering holes"

Now there's a "Friend" that I can be high minded about and throw him the keys!!!!

He can't even afford the deductible to repair the damage he did to his wife's trunk on her Jetta!!!!! 4 years and it still is crumpled!!!

OH!! But I value friendship over this drunks eagerness to get tanked while riding my bike!!!

GO FOR IT, PAL!!!

Not me. I'll let someone sit on it to check out different seats or bars, but that's about it.

I"ve got two friends I'd let ride it if they asked. They have their own Harley's and haven't asked to ride mine.

Others? Sure, after handing me a VERY HIGH cash deposit!!

I let my both my brothers, my uncle (who has ridden every type/style of bike through his life), and my best friend... That won't be a final list, but just to date....

funny story about my buddy riding it... I had just bought my Fatboy (I mean 4 or 5 days new).. anyway, my buddy comes over for the first time.. I am in the bedroom, and hear my bike start up... I walk outside, and my brother says "Rick just took your bike around the block"... I am not sure which surprised me more, that he did it, or that I didn't care.... That is how I roll.

Would I let a stranger ride it... LOL.... uh, no.

I already offered to teach my wife, but she is terrified.. both of dropping it, and having to deal with me afterward..

I will only let my husband ride my Harley Wide Glide - on Sundays when I am at work - just to hear him say how he loved the sound and the thrill of riding it - it makes me feel so good !!!!!! He rides a Suzuki Boulevard - and loves it = still, the harley is the bike for Sunday morning rides over the mountain to Franschoekl (french corner) - the Wide Glide is the centre of attraction and is one of the best looking bikes on the South African roads ...only he may ride it ... with my pemission!!
