Indeed it is. That's why that look is difficult to accomplish on a springer. That is unless you want them real wide at the grips. Not sure how comfortable that would be.

Yes, the center to center is wider on Springers and of course so would be the knurling as was pointed out. In addition, many standard bars begin their turn upwards too soon to accomodate the wider Springer risers.

For example, the stock Wide Glide baby apes would not fit on my Springer.

I'm not to worried about the knurling since I have a bandana (front fender) tied in between my risers anyway.

I just measured my stock risers. From outside edge to outside edge they are roughly 6.75". So as long as the bottom is wider than that I should be good, right?
